Please also check out the new feature flow on MIRO as many of the listed steps below are nicely visualized there.

  1. Navigate to Roadmap

  2. Select Kanban in the left upper corner

  3. Go through Backlog lane

    1. if feature is Hot contender move it (drag and drop) to Hot contender lane

    2. If feature is not really relevant move it (drag and drop) to lane Will not be done until more requests

  4. Go through Hot contender lane and rank the features after Priority

  5. Schedule feature prio sync (has its separate article: How to feature prio sync)

  6. In feature prio sync the Prioritisation of the next features should be decided

  7. Move the prioritized features in the lane “in Definition”

  8. Define feature (big workload, therefore has its separate article: How to define features)

  9. Schedule design kickoff meeting and move feature to "in Design" lane

  10. Several feedback loops (big workload)

  11. After all feedback loops have been passed, move the ticket to "Dev Backlog (ready for refinement)" lane and notify PO

  12. If the feedback from the refinement session has been implemented and JIRA tickets have been put on the JIRA roadmap, move the feature to "On JIRA Roadmap" lane.

  13. If the feature has been developed and released, move the feature to "Released" lane

  14. If the helpcenter articles + announcement post has been published, move the feature to "Announcement published" lane
