Having your booking portal available in multiple languages can enhance the customer experience by making your services accessible to a broader audience. With Kinnovis, you can fully translate key elements of your booking portal into the languages you’ve chosen. This guide walks you through the process step by step.


Step 1: Set Up the Right Languages

Before you begin translating, ensure the desired languages are set up for your booking portal.

  1. Navigate to Locations in the Kinnovis Manager.

  2. In the General card, review the list of available languages. Add any additional languages you need for your portal.

Step 2: Translate Descriptions and Booking Portal Content

Translate Unit Type Descriptions

To translate unit type descriptions on your booking portal into all your available languages, follow these steps:

Go to the Unit Types tab in your Manager.

  1. Select a unit type you wish to translate.

  2. Provide translations for the Short Description in the Booking Portal card for each available language. Click on the languages to create translations.

  3. Save your changes to ensure the translations appear on your booking portal.

Repeat this process for all unit types and categories.

In this example, the booking portal is available in English, German, Spanish and French. To translate your unit type description, simply click on the language tabs and enter the text in the corresponding language for each version. In case you do not provide a translation, the description in your default language will be shown to your customers.

Translate Unit Type Category Names

Go to the Booking Portal tab in your Manager.

  1. Select the location you wish to translate the category names for.

  2. Provide translations for the Unit Type Categories in each available language.

  3. Save your changes to ensure the translations appear on your booking portal.


Translate Booking Plan Descriptions

Accurate translations for booking plan descriptions ensure that customers understand your pricing and availability options clearly.

In order to translate the following booking plan descriptions on your booking portal in all your available languages, follow these steps to translate them:

  1. Access the respective Unit Type and go to the Booking Plan section.

  2. Select the booking plan you want to translate and click Edit.

  3. Enter the translated text for each language.

  4. Save your updates.

Translate Protection Plan Descriptions

If you offer protection plans, translating their descriptions ensures customers are aware of the benefits in their preferred language.

  1. Navigate to the Protection Plans section.

  2. Select a plan to edit.

  3. Enter the translated descriptions for each supported language.

  4. Save the changes.

Translate One-Time and Recurring Product Descriptions

Finally, translate any one-time or recurring products to complete the localisation of your booking portal.

  1. Go to the Products section.

  2. Choose either a one-time or recurring product to edit.

  3. Add translations by editing the Booking Portal card to include descriptions in all selected languages.

  4. Save your changes.
