How to Create Products in the Manager

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Go to the Products Tab in the Kinnovis Manager

  • Navigate to the "Products" tab.

2. Create a New Product

  • Click "Actions".

  • Choose whether you want to create a:

    • One-Time Product

    • Recurring Product

3. Configure Products

3.1. Configure a One-Time Product

  • General Information: Add the product name, price (excluding VAT), and VAT rates for B2B/B2C customers.

  • Description: Write a brief description that customers will see in the booking portal.

  • Requirement: Mark the product as Mandatory or Optional.

  • Link to Unit Types: Select specific unit types or all unit types to attach the product.

  • Make Product Visible on Booking Portal: Tick the box "Publish product in booking portal" if the product should be available for the respective unit type(s) in the booking portal.

3.2. Configure a Recurring Product

  • General Information: Add the product name, price (excluding VAT), and VAT rates for B2B/B2C customers.

  • Description: Write a brief description that customers will see in the booking portal.

  • Requirement: Mark the product as Mandatory or Optional.

  • Link to Unit Types: Select specific unit types or all unit types to attach the product.

  • Booking Plans (For Recurring Products): Ensure you create booking plan for the product that match the unit type's booking cycle.

Attention: For recurring products, ensure the booking plan matches the unit type’s booking cycle for the product. Only if the booking plan cycles match and the product booking plan is published, the recurring product will be visible in your booking portal for customers.

4. Editing or Deleting Products

  • Edit: You can update product details anytime such as name, requirement (optional or mandatory), or the price. Be aware that if you change the price in the "Products" tab it will not apply to active bookings. Product prices of active bookings can be changed in the "Bookings" tab.

  • Delete: Products linked to active or scheduled bookings cannot be deleted. You must first ensure all bookings using the product are completed.
