Exporting your data from Kinnovis is quick and easy. Whether you want to download customer information, invoices, bookings, or other data, you can create customised exports directly from the interface and receive them by email. This can help you to:

  • Perform detailed analysis of your data offline

  • Share reports with your team

  • Import data into external systems

  • Keep accurate records for tax compliance and accounting purposes

How Data can be Exported

You can access different export types via their respective tabs in the Kinnovis Manager:

  • Booking dataBooking tab

  • Customer dataCustomer tab

  • Invoice & Credit Note dataInvoices tab

  • Units dataUnits tab

1. Choose Export Type

  • Choose one or more locations you have access to.

  • You will only be able to export data for locations you belong to.

2. Select File Format

  • Choose the file format for your export:

    • Excel (.xlsx)

    • CSV (.csv)

    • Or both (the files will be zipped together for easier download)

3. Set Date Range

  • You can export:

    • Previous months

    • Or data within a specific date range by selecting a start and end date

4. Pick Columns to Export

  • Export all available columns, or customise your export by selecting only the columns you want.

  • Your column selections will be saved locally in your browser, so you don’t have to re-select each time you do an export.

5. Go to Your Email Inbox to Download Your Export

  • Within minutes, a download link will be sent to your email address.

  • Download the export file(s) and open them using Excel or any program that supports CSV files.

  • If you selected multiple file formats, the download will be provided as a single compressed ZIP file.

Notes to Keep in Mind

  • CSV files use a comma or semicolon delimiter for separation.

  • Multiple values in one field will be wrapped in quotation marks to keep the data clean.

  • Export filenames follow this pattern: <tenant-name>_<data-type>_export_<date-time>.xlsx or .csv.

  • For units like dimensions, the exported column headers include the unit (e.g., Width (cm)).

Summary

Using the export feature in Kinnovis allows you to easily get your data in the format and detail you need. Just go to the respective tab in the Kinnovis Manager, select the location(s), file format, and date range, then wait for the export to arrive in your inbox. It’s designed to be simple, flexible, and secure.
