Requirements for the integration to work

  1. You must have set up your facility's Net2 solution on your computer/server

  2. You have enabled the Net2 API (explained here)

  3. You have obtained a fixed IP address (explained here)

If you have met the three requirements mentioned above, you can start connecting the Kinnovis Manager with your dedicated Paxton - Net2 account.

Connect to Paxton Net2

  1. Go to Connected Apps in the Kinnovis Manager.

  2. Click on "Connect" in the Paxton Net2 card.

  3. Fill out the mandatory connection fields:

    • Now select the "Locations" you wanted to connect. Note that it is possible to connect multiple locations.

    • Next, fill in the "URL" of your fixed IP address, as explained in this article.

    • Enter your Net2 credentials - "Username" and "User password".

You need to have at least "System engineer" or "System supervisor" rights in Net2 to create the connection.

4. Optional Step - Client ID: The 'Client ID' field is prefilled if you choose to use the licence provided by Kinnovis. However, if you have obtained your own Net2 licence or already possess one, you can enter your own 'Client ID' instead (see details here).

5. Optional Step - Timezone Name: By default we're prefilling the "Timezone" field with "All days - All times". In case you have a pre-defined setup fill the field with your requirements. You can find these setting here:

After you filled out all fields, click on save.

If everything went well, you should see the green button "connected" on the top right of the Paxton Net2 card.

Note: If you have multiple Paxton Net2 platforms, you can always add another connection, by clicking on the edit pencil and in the dialogue, click on "Add another Paxton Net2 connection".

Congrats 🏁 - you successfully connected to your Paxton Net2 system with Kinnovis.
