Step #3 - Connect Kinnovis to Visor

Requirements for the integration to work

  1. You must have set up your facility's Visor solution on your computer/server

  2. You have setup and configured the Visor server properly (explained here)

  3. You have obtained a fixed IP address (explained here)

If you have met the three requirements mentioned above, you can start connecting the Kinnovis Manager with your dedicated Visor server.

Connect Kinnovis to Visor

  1. Navigate to “Integrations” in the Kinnovis Manager

  2. Click on “Connect” in the Visor card

  3. Click on “Add connection”

  4. Select the locations you wanted to connect to your Visor server

  5. Enter the server URL which consists of your static IP address and the defined port of Step #1

    1. Note that the server url should always have https:// or http:// prefixed and the port should be appended, e.g. https://192.168.0.1:8080

  6. Enter the username and the password of the created admin API user in Step #1

  7. If the connection was successfully established, you should now be prompted to the next step, where you need to define the PIN code length

    1. If you already using Visor in your daily operations, it’s very important to define the same PIN code length as you currently have it in Visor

  8. Then click on “Finish”

You should now see the location connected. Next you need to define the mapping between the Kinnovis units and the Visor access groups.
