Manage PIN codes for Sensorberg

How to change PIN codes, code lenght and see access history

How to configure PIN code settings and reset codes for tenants using Sensorberg access control. When a tenant loses their PIN or a shared access code needs to change, you can handle it directly from the Kinnovis Manager — no need to go into your Sensorberg system separately. You can also set how long PIN codes are, giving you control over your site's access security policy.

PIN code length

You can set PIN codes to be between 4 and 8 digits. This applies to all codes generated within that integration setup.

Step 1: Go to your integration settings

In the Kinnovis Manager, navigate to Integrations. Find your Sensorberg integration and click Edit.

Step 2: Set the PIN code length

In the edit panel, find the PIN code length field. Enter a number between 4 and 8.

Click Save to apply the change.

Important: Changing the PIN code length does not automatically update existing codes. New codes generated after saving will use the updated length.

View and reset a tenant's PIN code

Step 1: Open the booking

Go to the booking details page for the relevant tenant.

Step 2: View and roll the PIN code

The tenant's current PIN code is shown in the access section. To reset it, click Roll PIN code.

A new code will be generated. Share it with the tenant directly, or direct them to the Customer Portal where their current PIN code is always visible. There is no automated notification for PIN code changes yet. You can set up an email to automatically notify when a pin code change ist happening. Find the following trigger for this:

View and regenerate shared access codes

Shared accesses granted to a booking are listed in the Manager. You can see the current status of each shared access and reset the code if needed.

For a full explanation of shared access states, refer to the Access log: table of bookings article.

Click Regenerate code next to the shared access you want to reset. The existing code is invalidated and a new one is issued.
