In this article, you will learn how to set up the customer portal.
Before you start
Before you start, please check if your booking portal is up and running. So, you should have finished our Getting started โ setup guide. Can you access your booking portal by:
Navigating to Booking Portal / Global Settings
Clicking on the "Open in another tab" icon
Can you access it? Good, then we have come a big step closer!
Step #1
Set up the "Reset password e-mail". This is mandatory, as otherwise the customer would not receive any e-mail when he clicks on the "Forgot your password?" Find a tutorial on how to set up the "Reset password e-mail" here.
Step #2
We also recommend informing your customers in the email with trigger "Booking creation", how they can set their password. The customers can simply click on "Forgot your password?" in the login screen of the customer portal to set their password. Find more information on how this flow looks like here: Logging into the customer portal as a customer for the first time
Step #3
Spread the word! Since the customer portal can save you and your customers a lot of time and hassle, you should definitely make it very accessible. That means:
linking from your website
mentioning it in emails and linking to it
Do you know how you can get the URL of your customer portal? If not, here is an article explaining exactly this.
