You have full control over which languages are available in your booking portal, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly booking experience.

How to specify which languages are available in your booking portal

Choose the languages

Navigate to "Locations" in your Kinnovis Manager. Inside the "General" card, you can select the languages you want to have your booking portal translated to. Choose a default language and add secondary languages to accommodate a diverse range of customers.

Automatic language detection

When a customer visits your booking portal, our system detects their browser language. If their language matches one of the options you've set as default or secondary, they'll automatically see the portal in their preferred language. This ensures a personalized experience from the moment they arrive.

Fallback language

If a customer's browser language isn't among the options you've selected, our system seamlessly defaults to the fallback language you selected, preventing any potential issues with inaccurate translations. This guarantees a smooth and professional presentation of your booking portal at all times.

Add language parameter to your URL to link to a specific language

If you link from your website to your booking portal, you can now also add a language parameter (e.g. ?lang=en for English) to your URL. This ensures that your customers will always be redirected to your booking portal in the specific language.

If you don't include a language parameter in the URL, we'll automatically adjust the language based on your customer's browser settings. However, we'll only consider languages that have been set in the location settings. For example, if the location settings include German and French, but your browser language is English, we'll display the German translations, as it's the first language set.
