Introduction

You have the option to charge deposits upfront upon booking creation, ensuring payment security upfront and minimizing the risk of bounced payments and no-shows after a customer moves in. You can customise the new deposit settings according to the specific needs of each location.

Example and Use Case

Imagine you have a customer interested in renting a large storage unit for a six-month period. The move in date is in planned in two weeks. You decide to charge a deposit equivalent to one month's rent upfront in order to increase the commitment of the customer, thereby reducing the last-minute cancellation or bounced payments after move-in. In addition, this deposit secures the unit for the customer and provides your facility with immediate financial inflow. The system immediately issues an invoice on the day of the booking to the customer for the deposit amount being charged.
