This guide walks you through the process of setting up the Sedisto integration within Kinnovis. Follow the steps outlined below to ensure a smooth and successful setup - with minimum effort from your side.
1. Requesting Connection Credentials (Kinnovis)
Kinnovis will request connection credentials from Sedisto. Once the credentials are received, the onboarding team will set up the connection for you, so the backend setup can proceed.
Connection credentials:
Base URL
Site ID
API Key
2. Successful Unit Connection
Your Kinnovis onboarding Manager will set up the Integrations in the Kinnovis Manager and via the Integration > Sedisto card. You can review this on the configuration state on the Sedistor card. Once the credentials that you collected are successfully entered, and Sedisto has configured the backend, there are two potential pathways based on whether units have already been imported into Kinnovis.
Option A: Units Not Imported in Kinnovis Yet
If the units have not yet been imported into Kinnovis, follow these steps:
Sedisto Adds Units to Backend: Sedisto will add the units to their backend and generate access identifiers.
Return of Access Identifiers: Sedisto will send back an Excel file containing the units and their corresponding access identifiers.
Import to Kinnovis: These access identifiers are needed for the Excel file for the import into Kinnovis.
Option B: Units Already Imported in Kinnovis
If the units are already present in Kinnovis, the following steps will apply:
Sedisto Creates Access Identifiers: Sedisto will generate the necessary access identifiers for the units.
Access Identifiers Available in Kinnovis: If this is the case, the access identifiers can be viewed in the dropdown menu under the "Access Permissions" section in the general units area (as shown in the screenshot below).
Afterwards:
Option 1: Export and Sync via Database: You can create an export of the unit names, unit IDs, and access identifiers, and ask via Support or your Onboarding Manager to sync the data for you.
Option 2: Manual Mapping: Alternatively, you can manually map the access identifiers to the corresponding units through the dropdown menu in Kinnovis.
